About the Artist
Štěpán Mareš is best known to the public as the creator of the legendary comic strip Zelený Raoul (Green Raoul). Running for 28 years in Reflex magazine, it is widely considered the longest continuously published comic strip in Europe drawn by a single artist.
Over his career, he has created thousands of caricatures, comic strips, book illustrations, and provocative drawings that have frequently dominated the public sphere—and even sparked high-profile court cases. He is a bold, untamed artist who is never afraid to push boundaries and touch on sensitive topics.
