A new exhibit brings the atmosphere of a tropical jungle within arm’s reach.

This project began in 2017 as a pilot by a group of enthusiasts at Modrá u Velehradu, in the former Hotel Velehrad. Since March 2024, the exhibit has moved to a new, larger space at KOVOZOO Staré Město, designed in an original industrial style.

 

The Terrarium at KOVOZOO features both the largest and smallest species of snakes and lizards from around the world. Visitors can admire enormous pythons, an extensive collection of deadly venomous snakes, an adult caiman, several species of desert and rainforest lizards, beautifully colored poison dart frogs, predatory turtles, and, of course, representatives of spiders and scorpions.

You’ll see over 100 exotic animals across 55 species with your own eyes. Although some are among the most venomous creatures on Earth, they pose no danger to you here. They are comfortably resting behind the safety glass of our terrariums.
